We look to you for your support as we advocate and design for self-direction and engagement in learning, life, and work.

We value the trust and loyalty you have shown us, and are confident that, with your continued support, we will continue to reach new heights and achieve our goals.

How you can help:

Why do we need your help?

The efforts and impact of Purpl are supported partially through charitable contributions, but rely largely on the revenue from our mission-related programming and on the contributions of patrons and constituents like you. The money raised in our fundraising efforts will go to Saul N. Silbert Charitable Trust’s ongoing efforts in supporting the work and creative lives of our constituents and beyond.

They will enable us to pursue new avenues of sustainability, including enhancing marketing and outreach for hosting retreats and corporate off-sites in the sanctuary. Additionally, we hope to launch a number of new endeavors including film series, additional peer mentorship groups, art installations and more.

These improvements and solidifcations will allow Purpl to become even more of a bedrock of creativity and productivity in the Rivertowns, and to sustainably provide the experiences most needed by our expanded community. Purpl’s programs and events have served more than 5,000 people in Westchester and beyond since we opened in 2011. We hope to double that engagement in the next four years.

The Saul N. Silbert Charitable Trust

Purpl is run by the Saul N. Silbert Charitable Trust , a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization incorporated in 1994, in furtherance of its mission to advocate and design for self-direction and engagement in learning, life, and work.

The Saul N. Silbert Charitable Trust was founded by Saul Silbert in 1994, from his personal estate. Saul Silbert was a self-made man whose family came to the United States with little. He built his estate through hard work for the IRS, a tax preparer, and shrewd, self-managed investor. A lover of the arts who studied theater, piano, and drawing through his last days, Saul believed strongly in the value of education and self-reliance.
