Purpl Records' Artist: Jessi Mason

A singer/songwriter from Westchester, New York, Jessi writes folk-influenced songs that convey compelling stories of her serendipitous adventures and hopeless romanticism.

In Jessi's words, "being signed by Purpl is validation that my efforts are taking me in the right direction... It’s exciting to have people to work with who want the best for me and also have the experience that will help me grow."

Purpl Records is a non-profit artist development agency focused on identifying, fostering, and disseminating music that deserves to be heard, and at the same time supporting the artists that create that music by offering development and coaching not currently available in the mainstream music agency.

A collaborative effort with music industry veteran Lee Dannay, an Ardsley-based A&R professional, Dannay brings over twenty years experience in the music industry, including 15 years in A&R at Sony Music, where she signed, developed and worked with a variety of artists including John Mayer, Shawn Mullins, Five For Fighting, Anna Nalick and General Public.  Formerly VP of A&R for Warner/Chappell Music, with a broad and celebrated roster that included Gary Louris of the Jayhawks, Brandi Carlile, Iron and Wine, Oscar winners Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova of The Swell Season, and others, currently, Dannay is a consulting music producer for America's Got Talent, Season 9, via Syco Entertainment/Sony Music and is head of A&R at Thirty Tigers.

Together, it is our goal to identify artists who, with the right direction and support, can inspire and ignite others with their artistry and music. We aim to be a home for our artists, providing insight, community, and diligent, highly informed support to help them reach their potential. We hope also to serve as a resource for lovers of original, compelling new music.
